I did it. I managed to reconfigure my site to work in a cms (content management system). My cms of choice after much time, research, effort and experimenting is textpattern. Why textpattern you ask? Well, it just clicked for me and after experimenting with some of the others such as Wordpress, Joomla & Blogger, it just worked for me. My second choice however would be Blogger. I love the ease of use of blogger as well.
One of the excellent things about Blogger I like is all the “extras” you can do with ease, like adding snippets of code, etc with a few clicks. Even after all that, I went with Textpattern because of it’s stripped down simplicity. It’s fully customizable and is easy to do so once you learn the tags. And trust me when I tell you, it’s not hard to learn. Especially compared to some of the other cms’s listed above.
Now I can blog and update my site easier. Can’t wait to do more now that I have this somewhat under control. :-)
